Finding Your Way Back to the Bible: Renew, Restore, Revive

Life can easily pull us away from the consistent nourishment of God's Word. Between work, family, and the constant distractions of the digital age, carving out time for quiet reflection with the Bible can feel like an impossible task. But just as a neglected garden needs tending, our souls yearn for pruning and nurturing.

In 2025 our church family will focus on the theme of getting “Back to the Bible.” The main three concepts will focus on renew, restore and revive. All of these unique aspects can help us become more focused on spiritual maturity.

Renew Your Mind:

* Daily Doses: Start small. Commit to a minimum of 5-10 minutes of Bike reading each day.

* Find Your Focus: Experiment with different reading plans. Try a topical study, a chronological read-through, or simply reading a chapter a day.

* Journal Your Journey: Reflect on what you've read. Write down your thoughts, questions, and how the passage applies to your life.

Restore Your Relationship:

* Pray Without Ceasing: Talk to God throughout your day. Share your joys, sorrows, and struggles with Him.

* Find a Community: Be active in Christian fellowship. Attend all the services of your local church family. Join a small group or start a Bible study. Connect with other believers for encouragement and accountability.

* Serve Others: Putting God's love into action helps us to understand His Word on a deeper level. Get active.

Revive Your Spirit:

* Create Sacred Space: Designate a quiet space in your home as your "prayer nook." It could be a closet, porch, den or office.

* Unplug and Recharge: Schedule regular digital detox times to minimize distractions. Set a goal for starting and ending the day technology free.

* Embrace Rest Time: Consider this time as a mini sabbath. We are not under the old law but rest is necessary. Intentionally set aside time for rest and rejuvenation, allowing God to replenish your soul.

Don't get discouraged if you miss a day or feel like you're not making progress. God's grace is abundant and always available. Focus on the process of connecting with God's Word, not just reaching a certain milestone.

Returning to the Bible is not about achieving perfection, but about deepening your relationship with God. Let these principles of renewal, restoration, and revival guide you as you rediscover the life-changing power of God's Word.
