God's ways may be mysterious, but one thing He loves to do is reveal those mysteries to mankind. He wants us to seek the answers to life's questions. Jeremiah the prophet said: “These are the words of the Lord, who made the earth, shaped it, and gave it order, whose name is the Lord: ‘Judah, pray to me, and I will answer you. I will tell you important secrets you have never heard before.’" (Jeremiah 33:2-3)
Do you have a tough question? Step one…. Talk to the wisest One you know... GOD! I find it fascinating that people ask tough questions to humans. Why not ask the One who created humanity? We need to pray! It was once said of Jesus that "after the crowds went away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray" (Matthew 14:23). Why did Jesus pray? He had some tough questions for the Father. We see that in Mark 14:36, Luke 22:42, and John 17.
Do you have a tough question? Step two…. Read the book of wisdom, God’s Holy Word. Just open His book and let Him declare His truth. You will find what you seek and even greater things will be revealed (John 17:17, Psalm 119:105). Think about it. It's why you buy the movie on Blu-Ray, for the special features. It's why you choose to watch the 1 hour special on your favorite band. You want to see what's going on behind the scenes! For the faithful servants of God filled with questions like "What is God doing?" or "When will God answer our prayers?" He has given us the Bible. He wants us to get a glimpse behind the curtain. He even promises a blessing to those who will read His Word (Revelation 1:3).
Do you have a tough question? Step three…. Follow Him. James reminded his readers not to be hearer, but doers of the word (James 1:22). Paul reminds us that faith comes from hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Once you figure it out what to do, and learned the life-changing wisdom from the Bible, go with God! Do what He says and He will continue to bless you. Don’t hesitate. Travel on the straight and narrow. Stay faithful until the end. And you will blessed.
You are loved!
